Kārā Track

45 mins one way from turn off

The turn-off to Kārā Track is approximately 45 minutes from the Mt. Bradley Saddle. The narrow, steep track then takes you a further 45 minutes to the plateau. This is a 'there and back' one way excursion, however the views across Whakaraupō are well worth the diversion. This is a route, rather than a well-formed track, and should not be attempted unless conditions are clear as it is very wasy to get lost and disoriented.
