Full day both ways with many shorter options

Wonderful cycle or walk with lake and mountain views. Several access points along Highway 75. Kaituna Quarry best for short walk. Note some sections more suitable than others for prams and wheelchairs. Wheelchair accessibility: The Rail Trail from Cathedral Square and Hornby, through Prebbleton and on to Lincoln is generally asphalt-sealed, mostly using existing footpath networks. Note some intersections are not signalised, so cross with caution. The trail beyond Lincoln and extending on to Little River is mostly loose chip or gravel, and shared road carriageway in places, so not recommended for wheelchairs.
